Bürgerliche Kälte

When I was 14 I stole a bunch of disrupted family photos from my grandparents' trash. Ten years later I started an investigation regarding the authoritarian habitus cultivated by lots of Individuals in my family. Instead of doing an sociological interrogation with the people displayed in the pictures, i decided to do it with the photos themselves. The term 'Bürgerliche Kälte' was invented by german philosopher Theodor W. Adorno and means 'civil cold'.
